Been using the Whisk theme over a year and never had this problem. Went in to update the site with new text, colors and pages. Saved after each change. Entered my site’s URL and it seemed to look correct. Went back into editor to make more changes and all it shows me is the old website look. I’ve deleted cookies, cleared cache, and even opened it on a browser that I’ve never viewed my website from. I’m almost positive all my changes have been made based on how it looks on my partners computer. However, I can’t really tell what else I need to check because when I go into online store → Edit Theme, all it will show me in the blocks are my old pages.
When I’m at the home page, where it gives a preview of the themes, the computer header is correct and the mobile phone header is the old one that I changed and saved on my computer.
I’m not a shopify expert, but I do manage to blunder my way through updates, so if you know the answer, please explain it to me like I’m five.
I am also experiencing the issue of my theme not updating. Does update on localhost but any .myshopify.com url the changes do not show. In addition I had a client call in and report their site has reverted to the previous days changes.
I JUST found out what was going on with mine. Somehow I had two versions of my theme installed and I’d make changes on one and then on another, but only one was actually updating. I had to delete the one that I shouldn’t be using. No idea how that happened, too. Good luck!
When you say two version - Do you mean the published version and a draft version?
I actually have no idea. I chatted with Shopify AI and they looked at my account and said I had two Wisk themes listed but only one should be being updated and published. I checked and sure enough there were two in my online store list. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

This is a common mistake for merchants. You’re allowed up to 20 themes in your library. It’s quite easy to click “Edit theme” on the wrong one (especially if you duplicate for backup purposes), and expect the changes to be reflected on published theme.
