Theme files do not create new versions and "older versions" button is missing

Hi all,

I made some minor changes to 3 files in our store (Dawn theme) and noticed that all 3 do not show the “older versions” link like previous themes do on other stores.

When I open any of these files, the area where that link used to appear just displays the following

"No recent changes

File does not have any other versions"

We are not in any trouble and don’t need to revert this time but the behavior is alarming.
