Themekit theme get/download [development] error writing : open /[path]: is a directory

Hi there,

I can’t get started on the theme adaptations. The config.yml is being set up but the files are not downloading neither with download nor with get. What am I missing?

(base) RPR-MBP:btag rick$ theme get

I’m seeing the same issue with a fresh theme get

I’m also experiencing this issue. It’s disappointing to see that no one within the Shopify community has been able to help within 11 months of the problem being raised.

I believe this is because you don’t have permission to download the theme (e.g. the theme is a trial theme). The error is misleading though. You can capture the traffic to see that the Shopify server responds with 401 error.
