"There's a problem loading this page" when trying to visit the theme page of Online Store

Hi everyone, I was trying to edit the theme of my online store but saw a message “There’s a problem loading this page”. I tried to clear browsers cache & cookies then restart the browser but it doesn’t work. I also tried to access the page with different browser but it just showing the same message.

I visited shopifystatus.com and status of all the service areas showing no known issues.

Please advise how I could solve this issue.

I am experiencing the same thing.

Hi, all.

Thank you for posting your questions to the Shopify Community.

Yesterday, Shopify received reports of merchants being unable to access the Themes > Edit Code section to edit their theme. Our developers are aware of the issue and actively working to have this resolved. Once we receive further information, I will update this thread.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to have this resolved for you.

Hello!

Looping back to this thread as I would like to advise this issue has since been resolved by our developers. I recommend clearing your cookies and cache and rebooting the browser before proceeding.

Thanks!

Hello I tried clearing cookies & cashe & now my whole theme is gone …. My store is still off line!

Hi, @Thesaucycowgirl .

Thanks for posting to the Shopify Community.

You mentioned that once you’ve cleared your cache and cookies, your theme is no longer there and your store is still offline. I’d like to ensure I understand the issue in order to guide you in the right direction.

I would like to advise that clearing your cache and cookies is the process of deleting temporary files stored on your device by various applications and websites. These temporary files, known as cache, are created to enhance the performance and speed up the loading of websites and applications you frequently visit or use. Clearing your cache will remove locally stored data, but it won’t delete any data stored on remote servers or affect your bookmarks, saved passwords, or browsing history. Therefore, clearing your cache and cookies will not erase a theme that you have installed in your theme editor and will not remove your current published theme.

Once you’ve made edits/changes to your theme, you’ll want to ensure you’ve clicked Save which will be displayed in the upper right-hand corner of the theme editor.

Could you share more insight in regard to your store being offline? I’ll share a few additional questions below:

  • Are you unable to access your storefront? If so, please share a screenshot of any error messages.
  • Is there an issue or error message when logging into your admin?
  • Have you received any email correspondence from our team?

I look forward to learning more.

After an hour my store reloaded on line!

Great, thanks for letting us know @Thesaucycowgirl . Were you able to connect with a member of our support team?

If you have additional questions, please feel free to thread them here.

Ya I still can’t ship & have a Bandan carts :sob: :sob:

To confirm, you’re unable to ship orders and have abandoned carts? Are you able to elaborate a bit more, so our team can share further options?
