Third Party POS data into online customer account

We want to integrate our customer’s in-store POS transactions data into their online profile. Our setup is five separate instances globally on the Shopify Plus platform. The Shopify POS solution does not meet our needs, hence the requirement for a third-party POS platform. One of the main reasons we want have this integration is to offer a seamless loyalty experience for our clients where they can view their status and transaction history across both online and offline channels. Keen to hear how others have tackled whether it be through middleware, API’s third-party apps or custom dev. We are looking at all the usual suspects for the loyalty element as well.

I’m curious, what do you need Shopify POS to do that it can’t? I am in the process of planning our POS migration to Shopify POS and am finding workarounds for most things. Having an integrated loyalty program is the primary reason we are overlooking a lot of the Shopify POS shortcomings. I’m interested to know what solutions you find.

We have 15 stores around the globe and also have treatment bookings and gift cards solutions that didn’t easily integrate with the POS amongst a few other ‘must haves’ that it didn’t meet.
