We’ve been running Shopify since November '23 hitting alltime high in Nov '24 and suddenly dropped off. We got emails from customers who couldn’t order and trying ourselves we are shown the error message “This store can’t accept payments right now. Refresh this page or come back later.” But only / most often when choosing the shipment option, NOT when you choose the pickup option (then it works).
We have been in contact with Shopify - they stopped answering this saturday even though it’s escalated. So I am desperate to get some actual help. We didn’t do any changes to the store/apps etc but somethings changed that in certain browsers (safari but not necessarily chrome) make the store show this error message. And our conversions are down by 80%
