I am looking for a specific discount situation and hoping someone has a solution – I’ve tried many different discount apps and none seem to have the functionality I am looking for. Here is the ask:
We are a wine shop looking to provide two different quantity discounts that would apply to all products. The first is simple: if a customer orders 12+ bottles of ANY wine, they receive a 10% “Mixed Case” discount. The second discount is also simple: if a customer orders 12+ bottles of the SAME wine, they receive a 15% “Unbroken Case” discount.
That’s where it gets a little more complex. We would need the 15% discount to override the 10% in the case of 12 of the same item. In addition, if a customer orders additional bottles, the discounts would need to work together as follows:
Example order: 12 bottles of Wine A, 6 bottles of wine B, 6 bottles of wine C
12 bottles of Wine A would receive 15% off, since it is 12+ bottles of ONE wine
6 bottles of Wine B would receive 10% off, because the total order is in excess of 12 bottles
6 bottles of Wine C would also receive 10% off, for the same reason as Wine B
Example order #2: 6 bottles of Wine A, 6 bottles of Wine B, 6 bottles of Wine C
Wines A, B, and C would all receive 10% off, because the total order is 12+ bottles, but not 15% off, because no 12 bottles are of the same item.
Does any app offer this functionality, or is there a way to get this coded in? It’s a feature that our customers are used to with the previous website and we’d really like to replicate it on Shopify.
