Hello everyone,
I run a TikTok Shop connected to Shopify, and I’m currently facing a tax-related issue where I can’t find a proper solution in the TikTok Seller Center.
As of this year, I am VAT registered and legally required to show VAT (7%) on my invoices. However, in the TikTok Seller Center, I cannot find any setting that allows me to define a VAT rate or automatically generate invoices with VAT clearly itemized.
My questions to the community:
-
How do you handle VAT display for TikTok Shop orders?
-
Do you use Shopify as the main system and generate invoices there?
-
Do you create separate invoices outside of TikTok (e.g. via Shopify, Lexoffice, sevDesk, etc.)?
-
Is there a clean and legally compliant setup that works well in practice?
In short:
How do you ensure customers receive a correct invoice with VAT clearly shown when the sale happens via TikTok Shop?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your real-world setups or best practices.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Sven
