Hey @ecombaltay

You have reached the German community here but we can chat in English too, that’s no problem!

Have you reached out to TikTok support to ensure your TikTok account is properly set up for your Shopify store? There could be a few reasons why the link clicks from TikTok are not being transferred to your Shopify store.

  • Check if the link you have added is a direct link to your Shopify store or a landing page. If it is a landing page, make sure the link on the landing page is correct and working.
  • Verify that the link you have added is not blocked by Shopify. Shopify has a built-in security feature that blocks certain links to prevent fraud and spam.
  • Check if there is any issue with your Tiktok Channel settings. Make sure that your store is set up to receive traffic from TikTok.

It is also possible that the clicks you are seeing on TikTok are not actual clicks but rather impressions. TikTok counts an impression every time your ad is shown to a user, even if they don’t click on the link.

  • Both TikTok and Shopify have their own unique ways of tracking users and clicks. Any discrepancies may be due to differences in their tracking methodologies. For instance, TikTok might count a click when a user taps on your ad, whereas Shopify may only count a visit when the user’s browser fully loads the page.
  • Some of the clicks on your ad might have been from bots, which are not likely to be tracked by Shopify.
  • Users might have clicked on your ad but experienced issues like slow internet or browser crashes, preventing the page from fully loading and Shopify from recording the visit.
  • If you are using TikTok’s “Instant Page” feature, users might be viewing your content within TikTok without actually being redirected to your Shopify store.
  • There might be issues with the URL you are using in the ad. Make sure the link is correctly entered, and it leads directly to your Shopify store.

To resolve the issue, you could try the following:

  • Double-check your TikTok pixel installation and ensure that it is correctly installed. Incorrect setup might cause inaccurate tracking.
  • Make sure the URL used in the TikTok ad leads directly to the right page on your Shopify store.
  • If you aren’t already doing so, use UTM parameters in your URL. This will allow you to track your traffic source more accurately using tools like Google Analytics.
  • If you’re still having trouble, consider reaching out to TikTok and Shopify’s support teams. They may be able to provide insight or help you uncover any potential issues.

Hope that helps!
