I am interested in exploring the new sections architecture in addition to the new online store design experience for one of our client’s stores. I am curious if the Shopify team has released any updated timelines for when these features will likely go out of Beta?

We currently don’t have a timeline for when these features will be released for General Availability. The best place to keep to date with timelines for this release will be either our developer changelog, or here on this forum. As you might know, the new online store design experience can be tested on Developer Preview stores, and we have recently expanded the availability of sections from product pages, to include 3 more pages- 404, password and cart.

This is taking really long. Any kind of indication about the launch date would be appreciated.
The upcoming feature was announced then later the beta, shipping a product that will impact millions of merchants takes time. Relax.
Ontop of that there’s kinda big events going on in the world.

Thanks for your message- we don’t have an update on the timeline as of yet, however our developer team is hard at work on creating the best experience for our merchants and partner community. As soon as there is news on this front we’ll share it here as well as on the developer changelog.
