Hello @richbrown_staff , I was wondering if there any insights on when will be tags translation added so we don’t need to use metafields anymore in order to achieve more filtering capabilities? Thank you.

Product Type Translation Status:
As of January 2024, Product Type is now fully translatable in Shopify. Previously (November 2023), it only worked in the store’s default language when using the Shopify Search & Discovery app.
Workaround (Now Obsolete):
A temporary solution involved creating a metafield to hold product type values, as metafields support translation. A video tutorial was provided. This workaround is no longer necessary given the official translation support.
Current Issues:
- Bulk Edit Problem: One user reported being unable to save metafield values during bulk editing, though individual product page edits work fine. This appears to be a potential bug.
- Tags Translation: Tags remain untranslatable. When using translated pages, Search & Discovery filters based on tags disappear entirely rather than displaying untranslated versions. The recommended solution is to use metafields instead of tags for filtering functionality, as metafields support translations.
