Steps to reproduce: do an internet search for “chip theory games” and click on a result that goes to chiptheorygames.com. You will get stuck in an endless redirect loop between http and https.
All search providers are affected. But when you type in the site address correctly it works and loads fine.
We are using O2O with shopify and are uncertain where the issue lies. It was still doing this before we enabled O2O and we were hoping it would fix the issue but it did not.
We have no rewrite rules in effect right now.
Shopify says our DNS is not enabled and that the TLS is still provisioning. This is because for O2O we have the CNAME record instead of the A records they are actually looking for (we think).

You can followup these steps and i think this can work for you –
Fix DNS:
- Set A record for [email removed] to 23.227.38.65.
- Set CNAME for www to shops.myshopify.com.
- Do not use CNAME on root domain.
In Shopify admin:
- Set www.chiptheorygames.com as primary domain.
- Enable “Redirect all traffic to this domain.”
- Wait for TLS provisioning to complete (can take up to 48 hours).
This will stop the redirect loop and make your site work from search engines.

We would like to use O2O and manage our own cloudflare layer though. When we put the A record in and do as you say, that is not possible, right?
Please double check with your technicians if they make page redirection from other places before, as it is mostly caused by the existed redirection previously.
Find out the previous redirection and cancel the status, then let Google reindex your store pages, this issue shall be resolved soon.
