Tracking and SEO issues after product migration from Woocommerce

Hi all,

I recently switched from Woocommerce to Shopify.

I used the Store importer app to migrate my products from Woocommerce to Shopify.

Somehow the products are still connected to the old store, they are still showing up in the Facebook product catalogue and also when I search for my store in Google, half of the time it shows links to my old products or sites that then lead to a “page cannot be found” site.

Is there a way to fix this, without having to delete the store importer app and adding all my products from scratch?

When switching to a new platform it is always a good idea to set up permanent redirects (header code 301) from the old URL’s to the new.

If you have a list of the URL’s from your old store you can match them with the new and important the list in Shopify. You manage your redirects under: Navigation → View URL redirects

If you do not have a list then you can add them manually one by one.

Facebook cache information about your website pages. If you want to update the cache you can do it with the Facebook Debugging Tool forund here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

Insert each of your affected URL’s and click “Scrape again”
