Transfer custom.liquid input to cart note

Hi,

I’ve added a custom.liquid text input field to my product page. The custom text transfers from the product page to my Cart Note when the cart is in ‘Drawer’ mode, but not when the cart is in ‘Page’ mode (which I’d prefer). Any ideas as to why there’s a difference?
