I recently set up a second location for a tradeshow. I did not transfer any inventory to this location prior to selling, I just clicked the button to sell item anyway. I now have a location with a lot of negative inventory quantities. I would like to transfer all of the negative inventory numbers to my main store location to show the actual correct amount, instead of the amount it thinks I have because it doesn’t know I was selling in the 2nd location.
Is there a way to do this without manually going through inventory and adjusting every SKU I sold when at the second location?
That probably makes more sense than adjusting inventory down in main store, but I’m hoping there is a way I can automatically transfer all of the negative values at one time instead of going into each item individually. In the transfer FROM scenario I am still having to go through each product that I sold at the pop-up location and transfer the correct number by hand.
To understand better, if transferring negative quantities from pop-up to
main WERE hypothetically possible, have you figured out a way to easily do
this in bulk? IE without having to go into each product like you describe
for my suggestion?
Regardless, my go to would be to use Matrixify to update quantities in both
locations. But I’m not sure if they offer a free trial.
Matrixify is definitely able to update multi-location inventory in bulk and the process is quite simple. We offer an awesome tutorial to guide you through how this can be done.
In regard to a free trial. Matrixify offers a free demo plan which is assigned to your store as soon as you install the app. The demo plan is completely free and can be used for an unlimited amount of Imports/Exports for an unlimited amount of time. The only catch is that this plan only allows you to Import/Export 10 items at once, however, it is a great way to test the app out and get a feel for what Matrixify can do!

Don’t have an answer, but I am wondering the exact same thing! Can I transfer in bulk all the negative quantities from my off-site location back to my main location, thus reducing my main inventory by the amount that sold at the off-site event?
Would love to hear if there is a native, non-app solution to this.
