I have a YouTube channel where my group posts vids and directs to website. We wanted to put a Shopify banner under our vids, seemed like the only way to do was to transfer the domain from square space, where the website is. Now the website is down, which is not good. How do I get the website back up and running with the domain registered at Shopify?

Would you be able to share the domain name in question with me here so I can check it out, and let me know what steps you’ve taken so far to connect this domain to Shopify?
If you have added this domain to your Shopify admin, have you also updated its DNS records with your domain provider?
If so, bear in mind that changes to records like these can take 24-48 hours to propagate online fully for different parts of the world.
It is always possible for you to use your store’s default myshopify.com URL as your primary domain if you’re waiting for updates to go through for any custom domain you’re using, just as a workaround to allow your customers to access your store.
Let me know as much as you can about this domain and it’s status so we can work on this with you!

The domain is peoplesfrontofzeppelin.com. I need it to point back to squarespace. I have adjusted some DNS settings but I don’t know if correct. Thanks!

Thanks for getting back to me here and for sharing the domain in question.
When visiting that link now I can see a message reading ‘This website is pending domain owner verification’ with a Squarespace logo, so you may just need to follow the link given on that page to do so:
Can you clarify if this domain was transferred to be hosted by Shopify, rather than Squarespace currently?
You also mentioned you had updated some DNS records, could you confirm where you did this and how recently it was (as changes like this can take some time to propagate online)?

adding the Shopify banner and transferred the domain name from Squarespace
to Shopify. That ended up taking down the website and now subscribers can’t
find it. I was in a live chat today with Squarespace and they guided me
through the DNS renaming process
Hi, so Squarespace sees it as connected but it still leads to the shopify shop. How can I get the domain in shopify to point to the website and not the shop?

I had a look again at the domain name in question today, and it now appears to be leading to a site rather than a holding page.
Can you confirm this is working okay for you from your location?
It may have been the case that the DNS changes made needed time to propagate after being updated.
