Translate "Buy X / You Save Y" in Quantity Breaks: App or Code?

Hi everyone,

I’m using a quantity breaks feature on my product page, where customers can select “Buy 1”, “Buy 3”, or “Buy 6”, and see how much they save.

I want to translate these text snippets into an other language,

My question is:
What’s the smartest and most maintainable way to do this?

  • Should I edit it through the app settings, if that’s available?

  • Or should I modify the theme code directly?

Hi @nq_1

I know you have an answer but think you or other merchants maybe need after that.

With BiDeal Bundle Volume Discount app, you can easier to customize text you want & translate to any language your store have

Thank you!

**Hi @nq_1 ** I believe BOGOS app got all what you’re looking for!

Regarding Quantity breaks ( the app calls it Volume discount - same, even better, features), you can automatically translate “Buy 1”, “Buy 3”, or “Buy 6”, and how much they save into any different languages & manually edit any content you want. For example, auto-translate into Chinese:

Otherwise, you can translate all your promotion types (from gifts, discounts, bundles, to upsells) into many different languages too

PLUS: BOGOS has also been integrated with other translation apps. This integration is useful if your store has already implemented the app and you want to manage the translation script easily in one place.

Hi @nq_1 :waving_hand:

If you’re looking for a smart and maintainable way to translate the “Buy X / You Save Y” style labels for quantity breaks, I highly recommend trying the Wizio Bundle: Quantity Breaks app.

? Why Wizio Bundle is a great fit for you:

  • The app natively supports translations — when you’re setting up your bundles, you can easily customize and translate all the key labels like “Buy X”, “You Save Y”, and other bundle messages into any language.

  • No need to touch theme code or worry about maintaining custom edits — everything is managed through the app’s UI, making it easy to update or change texts anytime.

  • You can also localize other bundle-related texts like discount descriptions, call-to-actions, or value-based incentives, all within the app settings.

This way, your store can stay language-friendly, scalable, and update-safe — without having to dive into complex theme edits or rely on third-party translation tools.

Let me know if you need help setting it up or want to see it in action!

Hey @ulandev ,

I think Buno Bundles Tiered Pricing is exactly what you’re looking for. It’s currently free and supports translations.

Hey @nq_1!

Great question - translation is important for international stores. Here’s the breakdown:

Option 1: App Settings (Best) Most good bundle apps let you customize all text labels directly in the app dashboard. Look for “Translations” or “Text/Labels” in your app settings. This is the cleanest approach - no code editing needed.

Option 2: Shopify Translate & Adapt If your bundle app is “Built for Shopify” certified, it should work with Shopify’s native Translate & Adapt app. This automatically handles translations across your store.

Option 3: Theme Code (Last Resort) Only do this if the app doesn’t support customization. It’s harder to maintain and breaks when the app updates.

Which quantity breaks app are you using? I can give more specific guidance.

If you’re open to switching, some apps like BundleGPT have built-in text customization so you can translate everything from the dashboard.
