Translate ''color'' and '' size`` to dutch

Hello,

I have a Dutch shop, but size and color are in English. Does anyone know how to translate that into Dutch?

Iris here from Shopify. In the interest of education for everyone, I will be answering your questions in both English and Dutch as I think you have a great question here, that will benefit the Dutch speakers too :slight_smile:

Generally English words that are not translated in your store, can be translated using the Language Editor. By using the language editor, you can change the words and sentences that appear in your online store. You can change the default wording in your theme, with the below steps:

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
  2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click Actions > Edit languages.
  3. Click the tab that includes the text that you want to change.
  4. Edit the text and click Save.

However, these words that you are asking to have translated, seem to me that these are the Product Variants Options Names. These have to be changed in the product itself. See the steps below:

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Products > All products.
  2. Click the name of the product that you want to edit.
  3. In the Variants section, click Edit options.
  4. To change an option name, click it and enter the new name.
  5. Click Save.

Over het algemeen kunnen Engelse woorden die niet in uw winkel zijn vertaald, worden vertaald met de taaleditor. Door de taaleditor te gebruiken, kunt u de woorden en zinnen wijzigen die in uw online winkel verschijnen. U kunt de standaardformulering in uw thema wijzigen met de onderstaande stappen:

Stappen:

  1. Ga vanuit uw Shopify-beheerder naar Online Store> Thema’s.
  2. Zoek het thema dat u wilt bewerken en klik vervolgens op Acties> Talen bewerken.
  3. Klik op het tabblad met de tekst die u wilt wijzigen.
  4. Bewerk de tekst en klik op Opslaan.

Deze woorden die u wilt laten vertalen, lijken mij echter de namen van productvarianten. Deze moeten worden gewijzigd in het product zelf. Zie hieronder de stappen om dit aan te passen:

Stappen:

  1. Ga vanuit uw Shopify-beheerder naar Producten> Alle producten.
  2. Klik op de naam van het product dat u wilt bewerken.
  3. Klik in het gedeelte Varianten op Opties bewerken.
  4. Om een ​​optienaam te wijzigen, klik erop en voer de nieuwe naam in.
  5. Klik op Bewaar.

Hi Iris,

Ik las op het internet het volgende:

“If you want to show color swatches you will need to name one of the Product Options either Color or Colour. By default, the color swatches use the HTML color spectrum, so if your variant color option is named Blue it will show the HTML color Blue”.

Mijn vraag is alleen, op het moment dat ik kleur in color verander, zie ik zoals ik wil de kleurenpalet in het overzicht van de producten. Maar op het moment dat ik “kleur” gebruik ipv “color”, pakt het systeem hem niet meer, en dan zie je dus geen kleurenpalet meer. Hoe kan ik dit veranderen van color naar kleur, maar wel dat hij de instelling behoud om de kleuren weer te geven?
