Hello,
I would like to translate the “Custom delivery description (optional)” for each language of my checkout, but I can’t seem to find any option of doing that in the “Shipping and delivery” section of Translate & Adapt.
How can I translate this description then? Where can I translate it?

I am also very interested in this question. Can anyone answer?
Hi, you just need to add the translated content in the shipping profile for that country. So you need to go to Settings > Shipping and delivery > Shipping rates, select the profile you want to translate
And add the description in the desired language
We have 4 official languages in Switzerland. This approach is not suitable for countries where multiple languages are spoken. Same should apply to Spain, no?
I found it in Translate & Adapt > Shipping and Delivery > General Profile
Hi @WhereIsJoe
What you’re referring to is the “Custom rate name” field. That is indeed localizable. The “Custom delivery description (optional)” field however is not.
I called Shopify support and they said that it’s on their roadmap.

While not related to translations, it seems within the last few days that these custom delivery descriptions have been REMOVED from Shopify. The input field is no longer there, they are no longer displayed at checkout, and also are not displayed if pulled from a 3rd party app (such as ShipStation). Can any of you confirm the same is happening on your end?
I just noticed that this input box within Shopify is not completely removed within the Add Rate window of Shopify, and it was there last week.
That Add Rate window also just recently got an update.
