Hey, @InaIna
Eunice here from Shopify, thanks for posting!
While I’m unable to diagnose the issue causing these errors to arise, I can help you with troubleshooting and finding the support you need.
The issue is likely either coming from your theme, or from the third-party app you installed after you added the language to your Shopify admin.
First of all, have you ensured you meet the requirements of selling in multiple languages? You can check those here. While all Shopify free themes are compatible to sell in multiple languages, you might need to update your theme.
Once you’ve checked the requirements, and updated your theme if needed, let’s troubleshoot! Please install one of Shopify’s free themes such as Debut or Brooklyn. You’ll need to preview the theme to check if the issues are still present. Here’s how to preview a theme:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes
- For the theme that you want to preview, click Actions, and select Preview
If the language issue is still present when previewing an alternative theme, then this means that the problem is likely coming from the third-party translation app you are using. You will need to contact the app developer directly for support for this. Their support contact details will be located in the app listing on the Shopify App Store, here is an example:
If the issue isn’t present when previewing an alternative free theme, then there is likely an issue with the theme you are currently using. Have you made any changes to the theme code recently? Because you are using the Minimal theme which is a free Shopify theme you will be able to get support for this directly from the Shopify Support team. Please reach out via chat, callback, or email through the Shopify Help Center. This video clip shows you how to access the chat and email option. If you would prefer to speak with someone over the phone, please log in to your store when prompted to view the callback option. For the fastest support, I recommend selecting the chat option.
Because you’ve added the Romanian language to your theme, it sounds like you’re planning to sell internationally, is that right? I recommend checking out Shopify’s ultimate guide to selling globally. This guide covers identifying international target markets, setting up international shipping, as well as translating your store and other online materials - perfect!
I hope this all helps. If you didn’t change your store language using the method above, please let me know the steps you took so I can help you further. Cheers!
