Hi everyone,
I’m running into an issue with my Shopify page and could use some assistance. I decided to make my collection images transparent, and while some of them are displaying correctly, others are not.
Here’s what’s happening:
- Some of my collection images show up perfectly with the transparency effect.
- Others are either losing their transparency or not displaying at all.
I made sure all the pictures are in PNG format.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
If You can share the Store preview that I can check the Issue

Thank you in advance.
Update:
I discovered that when I exported the images from Canva, they were too big (around 1 MB), which seemed to cause them to be shown as JPGs instead of PNGs. I resized the files to be smaller, and now Shopify correctly recognizes them as PNGs in the collections. (it recognised T-shirt, but not the oversized t-shirt (weird because oversized tshirt is less KB than t-shirt))
However, I’m facing a new problem: the images have switched from having a black background to a white one. I’m not sure why this is happening.
Yes most images are in JPG you need to upload that image into PNG format by removing their background
You can use this online tool to remove background from any image

The best part is you directly upload the URL
