Tried different methods, but Apple Pay option still not showing

Topic summary

Apple Pay not appearing on product pages; Shop Pay shows instead despite meeting Apple Pay requirements and testing across devices, clearing cache, and disabling other wallets. One user resolved it by toggling the setting off and back on.

Others report the issue persists and ask what exactly was toggled. A staff member advises enabling the dynamic checkout button (a product-page button that surfaces an accelerated checkout method—Apple Pay, Shop Pay, etc.—based on the customer and context). Apple Pay may not always be the highlighted option; “More payment options” should display all available methods.

A user confirms dynamic checkout and Apple Pay are enabled on iPhone but Apple Pay still doesn’t show; a screenshot was shared. Another staff member reiterates device requirements for Apple Pay buttons: compatible iPhone (SE/6+), iPad (Pro/Air 2/mini 3+), Apple Watch, MacBook Pro with Touch ID, or a 2012+ Mac paired with an Apple Pay–activated iPhone/Watch.

Status: partially resolved (toggle fix helped one user); ongoing for others with unanswered cause for missing Apple Pay despite settings and device compatibility.

Hello,

Apple Pay payment option doesn’t show on the product page, but “buy Shop pay” appears instead. I’m aware and followed of all the Apple Pay requirements and other previous resolutions you posted previously and still not showing for some reasons.

Some more details:

  • I have visited other websites that use Apple pay and it appears there, but just don’t work on my website

  • I ask friends to try check on the product page of my site if it will appear for them but still same issue.

  • Tried it both on laptop and iPhone, even clear history and cache on browsers but still.

  • Unchecked google and PayPal wallet option on payment and enable only Apple Pay. still not working

The shop pay option keeps appearing while its Apple Pay needs to be appearing.

Please can I get help with this issue ?

Thank you.

Hi there,

I have same problem. Did you just checked these buttons off or deactivate payments?
I tried to tick it off and still not working

Hi, @Skittles305 . To display an accelerated checkout method, like Apple Pay, on your product pages, you would need to enable your dynamic checkout button. With the dynamic checkout button, the specific accelerated checkout option that is highlighted to customers will dynamically change based on a number of factors so that each customer is shown their preferred checkout method. This means that while you may not see Apple Pay as the method highlighted for you, other customers might. You can also click the “More payment options” button to see all of the available payment methods. You can learn more about the dynamic checkout button and how it works, here.

I already have the dynamic checkout button on and Apple Pay checked in the payments section. I am on an iPhone so it should show up for me, but it is still not showing up. Only all the other payment methods, the ONLY one not showing up is Apple Pay.

Hey @Skittles305 .

Thanks for the quick response and providing that screenshot.

To access the Apple Pay button on your online store, you will need to use one of the following devices:

  • iPhone (SE, 6, 6 Plus, or newer)
  • iPad (Pro, Air 2, mini 3, or newer)
  • Apple Watch
  • MacBook Pro with Touch ID
  • Any Mac model (2012 or newer) plus an Apple Pay-activated iPhone or Apple Watch
