Troubleshoot Google pixel lost in Shopify payment webpage

Hi,

I am new to Shopify. I try to read through the posts here to figure out my problems but it doesn’t work. Hope someone can help me out.

First, I setup conversion events in Google conversion. It is weird that I can track add-to-cart action while the other two can’t be tracked.

I use tag assistant to help me troubleshoot and you can see that Google tag assistant is still tracking when we are on the “shopping cart” webpage.

Once I click the “checkout” button on the shopping cart page, I will land on the payment page, and the tag assistant is gone.

Does anyone know what is wrong here? Thank you!

That sounds correct, you need checkout.liquid if you want to track anything related to the checkout steps. Which is available on the higher paid shopify subscriptions.
