I’ve been reading through the various posts and looking at the suggested apps to replace Stocky and can’t seem to settle on one. I’m hoping that by posting what we need to be able to do the community can help me narrow it down!
PO generation: We use Stocky to generate POs based on sales trends and current inventory (usually no more than 10/week). Additionally, we add as many as 40 new SKUs to our inventory each week (which is quite time consuming).
Receive POs: Often between ordering and receiving items go on backorder from the supplier and so we rarely receive a complete PO in one shipment. Usually we are receiving from as many as 3-6 POs in a given shipment (sometimes more). I’ve noticed that many apps allow barcode scanning for receiving orders, this would be a welcome addition!
Print barcode labels: When we receive an entire (or at least a large portion of a) PO this has been fairly easy to do via CSV files and the Dymo app. Retail Barcode Labels is what we currently use to print individual labels.

Hi Jason… Did you look at FyreTrail yet? I don’t recognize that you have yet so you should go take a look at us as well. Here’s why:
PO Generation: You can add products based on sales trends (also seasonality and event/holiday pressure) for various horizon lengths of time (30, 60, 90, 180 days). It’s the SKU adding that will make things the easiest though because of how FyreTrail works. It’s geared around only what product details you need to enter, but also when you need to enter them and how FyreTrail does a lot of it for you that saves the time.
Receiving POs: Partial receiving is done well from FyreTrail. You can have multiple receivings for a single order. Barcode scanning is included in the ways to receive orders.
Printing Barcode Labels: FyreTrail allows you to print ONLY what has been delivered for an order. In other words, if you receive the full order, FyreTrail will allow you to print the quantities of labels needed for each product on that order. Receiving a partial order means FyreTrail only prints what has actually been delivered.
Ok, so that’s cool, but you can also do the following during this process too:
Set Min/Max Levels: you can set these levels on a product or variant then create a PO from Low Stock to Target Stock.
Create Custom Label Templates: Having one type of label or many, you can create a custom label for one or more printer types - how you want it. Can’t quite get what you want? Reach out and I’ll generally be able to make it for you.
POS Delivery: You can receive POs directly from the POS with our Tile Extension. Add the tile, press the tile, enter the order number, brand or product then pick the right order and start the receiving process right from the POS.
There’s a ton more like stock takes, adjustments, transfers, budgeting etc. too. Hope to see you soon!
PS: Forgot to add, we’ve also added a Stocky Migration Tool that will help you bring your items over to FyreTrail (where Stocky allows anyway) to make any transition as easy as it can be.
Disclosure: I built LabelCraft, so factor that in. Of your three needs it only covers the third (printing labels), so it isn’t a full Stocky replacement on its own. But for that piece: point it at a received Transfer, or paste/upload your received SKU list, and it bulk-prints exact-size Dymo labels, default quantity zero so you never short a roll, and generates a valid GS1/EAN-13 for anything missing a barcode. Most people pair it with a lightweight PO tool for the ordering side. Free up to 200 labels a month. Either way, export your Stocky data before Aug 31, it doesn’t auto-migrate.

Inventory Planner is the best fit, but its pricy.
Stock&Buy is more affordable and has PO generation, partial shipment receiving, and barcode labels. Keep you curent Retail Barcode Labels setup regardless of which app you choose.
Stockful could potentially be a good fit, it’s built directly in the admin and no external dashboard.
The only thing really missing is PO’s, but with Shopify connecting PO’s to Inventory Transfers now, it isn’t too bad and Stockful does read off inventory transfers.

With Stocky going away, and our own users asking us for a robust way to handle POs and light inventory management / reordering with Shopify; we decided to build our own solution, but for free.
We think Shopify merchants deserve a robust, stable and long term way to handle Purchase Orders (and the re-ordering/receiving processes that come with them) in a way that fits their business, and not at an additional cost. We’d love to hear any feedback as we continue to build more features to make this a helpful home for Shopify store merchants coming from Stocky!
They’re spamming the Stocky threads right now. App was just released so they’re looking for anything “stocky” related and promoting. I think you were just caught in the crossfire. I too looked for Stocky threads so people knew FyreTrail was an option, but I tried to at least be relevant and avoided hitting EVERY thread without bias. Probably effective, but annoying to see necro’d or irrelevant threads just the same.
@REBRecords, the reason this feels impossible is most “Stocky replacements” are solving different jobs. Stocky was a bundle. The App Store is selling the pieces separately.
Try scoring apps against the jobs you listed, not against “feels like Stocky”:
Planning / PO generation from sales trends - forecasting / reorder apps (or a sheet + native POs if volume is low)
Receiving (especially partial deliveries) - native Transfers/POs can do the receive step; the pain is usually what happens next
New SKU creation at volume (~40/week) - this is often the real bottleneck. Ask vendors for a CSV/matrix you can import, or pick a tool that makes supplier → product creation fast. Full inventory suites advertise this; lightweight tools usually don’t.
Labels after receive (if you print barcodes on arrival) - separate from forecasting. You want counts from received qty, not ordered qty, or partials will wreck you.
A lot of stores end up with native POs + one planning app, not a single Stocky clone, and that’s okay if your weekly PO count is ~10.
If you paste what printer/label workflow you use today (Stocky to Dymo? Retail Barcode Labels?), people can narrow #4 faster. For #1/#3, FyreTrail-type suites are the honest “one app” path; just go in knowing you’re buying more than Stocky’s free-with-POS-Pro price.
Thank you for the mention @FlochForster! I did want to point out (not to take anything away from FlochLabels) that FyreTrail does handle 1, 2, 3 and 4 already as a “one app” solution (yep, partial deliveries have been there since day 1 - even label printing). Just didn’t want to have stores misled thinking they aren’t getting the value that FyreTrail offers by saying it’s not good at those things or by saying FyreTrail only addresses #1 and 3 when in fact it addresses all 4.
BUT… are stores going to buy a “all in one” suite like FyreTrail just for label printing? Likely not, and I think that’s why FlochLabels fills that more focused area of highly specific and customizable label printing. It’s when stores need much more than just label printing that FyreTrail is going to be their answer.
