Turbo Theme Portland - Hide variant images but show other product images

Hello dear community,
I use the turbo theme from out of the sandbox with many variants. I can choose in the theme that all thumbnails are not shown, but i only want that the pictures of the variants are not shown. the other pictures should be shown. Unfortunately, it is possible to either show all pictures or display all pictures. but i would like to show the variants images and display the other product images.

i am really very grateful for every help
