Most product descriptions don’t reflect what customers actually care about.
But your reviews already tell you:
I built a tool that:
I’ll do this for one product for free (looking for feedback). It uses reviews from the past year.
Drop a product link below (best-seller or something with reviews), and I’ll generate it.
This is a nice idea… " real customer feedback will convert into product description, definition. I will try & test with a merchant. "
" Real customer feedback matters for any business. "
Hey Mattbrown!
That’s an amazing idea. I’ve had a lot of trouble writing product texts on my own and with AI. Do you think it can get rid of the feeling that the text is written by AI? That’s my main concern in these, and I admit that writing product texts on your own can definitely feel frustrating. I will gladly follow this thread and see the results, even though I can not provide you with any product right now. Good luck!
@Esa_Pufferstack it of course is still up to you to write high-quality product description. Think of AI as a co-pilot. First, it can summarize what customers are saying about your product so you don’t have to read all of the reviews (although you probably still should
). Second, it can make suggestions on how to incorporate content from those reviews into the product description. It’s still up to you to go through and determine what exactly should be included. But AI can make the process of updating much easier.
Here’s an example. I chose a random store to analyze.
First, here’s an overview of a few of the positive comments customers have made. As you can see, there’s a lot of focus on durability.
And here is the updated product description. As you can see, it made minimal changes. Updated some grammar and added a few more comments about the durability of the product. Of course you could have AI write the whole thing but then you run into the issue of it sounding like AI.
