Hi,
I want to know is it capable to maintain two SKUs for same product. One to address in the Shopify POS and other SKU is supplier SKU to order the product and create Purchase orders in Shopify.
Main issue: Ability to keep two SKUs for the same product—one for Shopify POS use and a separate supplier SKU for purchase orders in Shopify.
Current update: Shopify confirms multiple SKUs per single product/variant are not supported. A support rep points to a linked thread with potential workarounds (details not provided in the post) and offers to submit a feature request to the product team.
Outcomes/Actions:
Status: Open/Unresolved. No timeline for native support.
Open questions: Whether the suggested workarounds fully meet POS and purchasing needs; any ETA for official multi-SKU support.

Hi! It isn’t currently possible to add multiple SKUs to the same product, but there are some workarounds suggested in this linked post. In the meantime, I’m happy to share a feature request with our developers on your behalf.
