Two stores but sharing products and inventory

Hello, I’m currently running one Shopify store. Now I’d like to create an additional store with a different theme and domain, but I still want it to use the same products and inventory as the original store. How can I set this up? Thank you.

Easy solution. You can’t.

I would not be as categorical.

You can always export your products to CSV and import them to another store.
Use native tools or an app like Matrixify.

However, there is no way to syncronize the inventory natively, you have to use an app for this.
Say, one like Multi‑Store Sync Power – " Synchronize inventory, products, and collections in real time across multiple stores automatically."

For this specific setup, I recommend looking into Easify Inventory Sync. It handles this efficiently using a Source and Destination (One-Way Sync) model:

  • Source vs. Destination: Your original store acts as the Source (central inventory hub), and your new store acts as the Destination.

  • Automated Order Flow: When a sale happens on the new store (Destination), the app automatically creates a corresponding order on the Source store.

  • Inventory Accuracy: By pushing the order back to the Source, the inventory is deducted directly from your main stock pool, keeping your counts accurate without manual updates.
