Unable to add a drop down menu in the Main Navigation

Hi All!

I am having trouble adding a drop-down menu in the Main Navigation of my site.

When adding a menu header it does not give me the option to add sub-categories. I already have numerous drop-down menus ( Tops, Bottoms, Accessories) Which are then divided into specific categories. I would like to add another menu for Outerwear, which will then be sub-categorized into Jackets and Knitwear but am unable to do so.

Any assistance would be appreciated!

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I’m happy to provide some assistance with creating drop-down menus within your shop, to get this resolved. To provide some context, the navigation is capable of creating 3 levels of nested navigation. I recommend checking out our Setting Up Drop-Down Menu’s document for more information on this.

As the navigation is limited to 3 levels of nested drop-down menus, this may be why you’re not seeing the option to add any additional sub-categories. Listed below I have outlined an example of what this would potentially look like, depending on what is looking to be achieved:

  • Outerwear (Level 1)
    • Jackets (Level 2)
    • Knitwear (Level 2)
      • Gloves (Level 3)
      • Hats (Level 3)

If unable to create anything beyond a Level 2 drop-down menu, please Contact Support to allow us to investigate further.
