Unable to customize theme during free trial, is payment required?

I am under my free trial. But not able to customize the theme or pick any free template to work with…

Do I need to pay to access it? I just want to give it a try…

It’s easy to register a partner account https://www.shopify.com/partners

You will be allowed to play around for free.

Maybe I should say shopify developer account ? you can create test store and do your testing job there. You can try it(don’t worry, it’s totally free), you will know what is it after.

But why can’t you access your store customization page from the main shopify website?
