Unable to login - this is insane - not getting the 2FA sms code

Shopify is not sending the 2FA codes to my phone number.

I’ve been using the same phone number for Shopify’s 2FA for years, and I’m still using that number every day - it works for everything else, but I haven’t been able to get the Shopify 2FA code in a week, trying every day.

I understand I can use an authenticator app etc, but to add it, or to make any other change to the account, Shopify sends a code to verify the change, which I am not receiving. So I am completely stuck. And of course there is no support chat or a way to reach anyone.

No, I haven’t been receiving the codes for a week now. My store is not down - it has nothing to do with the temporary outage. Unless you’re saying no one has been receiving the codes for a week?

This could be related to a temporary Shopify system issue or SMS delivery issue. I recommend checking the Shopify Status page for live updates here:

Once Shopify’s services are fully stable, try again. Also, after you regain access, I highly recommend setting up Google Authenticator or another authenticator app for 2FA, as it is usually more reliable than SMS codes.

If Shopify status is normal and you still do not receive the code, you should contact Shopify Support directly from here:

https://help.shopify.com/en

They should be able to help you verify the account and resolve the 2FA issue.
