Hello,
Hopefully, someone can help because I cannot figure this out. I’m trying to set up a discount code sent to new “first time email subscribers” but I am unable to select the option. The (2) emails that are subscribed belong to me, as a test. I did try recently subscribing my 2nd email to see if that would prompt the first-time email subscribers, but it did nothing.

If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know!

To automatically send discount codes to new email subscribers in Shopify, follow these steps:

1-Create a Discount Code:

  • In your Shopify admin, go to Discounts and click Create discount.
  • Set the discount details (e.g., percentage off) and ensure it’s active.

2-Set Up an Automation:

  • Navigate to Marketing > Automations > Create automation.
  • Choose Custom automation.
  • Set the trigger to Customer subscribed to email marketing.
  • Add the action Send marketing email.

3-Design the Welcome Email:

  • In the email editor, include the discount code or a link applying the discount.
  • Save and activate the automation.
