Ive been trying to transfer ownership of two stores to other staff members and on both occasions the Transfer Ownership button is greyed out.
I made sure that all staff members have the full access and yet I still cant do the transfer. Can I please get assistance on this? Thanks,

Could you confirm that you’re the current Store Owner and that the store is not on a Developer Preview? If the store is on a Developer Preview, you can’t transfer ownership of a development store that has a developer preview enabled.

Thanks for your reply it’s helpful. Does that mean the store need to get live on a paid plan to enable transfer otherwise we wont be able to transfer it? Is there an alternative work around to this as we’re not ready to exit development mode but the dev/owner of the store has changed as well.

It doesn’t need to be on a paid plan, however it can not be in developer preview mode. Do you know if your store is in developer preview mode?
Yes at the moment they both are - is it best to create new development stores with new owners or to publish ->transfer → move back to dev store?

To clarify, a development store with a developer preview enabled includes all the features that are available on the Advanced Shopify plan, but the store can’t be transferred to another owner or transitioned to a paid plan.
