Hi API understanding people!
Since early september for some unknown reason over 1700 subscribers have gotten unsubscribed and this proces still goes on.
Shopify points towards the API of Mailchimp and vice versa.
Both saying it’s the otherones API causing this unsubscribtions (or getting these mostly loyal for years customers who always have read newsletters, to unsubscribe.
I do not have any idea what an API is and does and how many are involved and how to end this alarming automatic proces.
for 4 weeks on row, the ‘weekly stats mail’ from mailchimp is showing these massive amounts of subscribers getting lost.
In shopify when i search these customers I can for example see they have been unsubscribed on a certain date in september.
I do have to have this fixed the sooner the better.
I want to get rid of mailchimp but i am afraid to instal another mailprogram like Seguno or klaviyo or what have you as i am afraid this API thing will still interfere with the subscribers.
So i am looking for someone to help me out of this trouble.
To get back 1700 unexpected subscribers that got unsubscribed automatically by the API
And last but not least to have a clue what new mail program to install (add as app) to be 100% sure it won’t ever happen again.
