Unfullfill is impossible when Shopify Shipping is used

Topic summary

A merchant is requesting an “unfulfill” button to reverse fulfillment status for products shipped using Shopify Shipping.

Current Problem:

  • Once an order is fulfilled through Shopify Shipping, the fulfillment status cannot be changed or reversed
  • If an item is accidentally included in a shipment, there’s no way to mark it as unfulfilled
  • This forces merchants to create new shipments using external services outside Shopify

Requested Solution:

  • Add a “Cancel Fulfillment” option for each product in an order
  • Allow merchants to change fulfillment status regardless of which shipping service was used
  • Enable this functionality even after Shopify Shipping labels have been generated

Status: The request remains unresolved with the merchant following up to ask about potential implementation, emphasizing the importance of this feature for error correction.

Please add an unfulfill button that forces the ufulfilment of a product even if I’ve used Shopify Shipping to fulfill it.

Right now it’s impossible to change the fulfillment status of a product in an order if you used Shopify Shipping to ship it and that’s so annoying.

I’ve included a product in a shipment by error and that product is now “fulfilled”… but it’s not and I have no way to change its status

Just add “Cancel Fullfilment” to each product in an order and let us change the status whenever we want and whatever service we’ve used to ship it, thanks!

Any chance to have this implemented? This is really important as if you include by errore an item in a shipment… you have no way to set it unfulfilled and you have to create a new shipment with another service outside Shopify
