I’m starting a brand new exercise program using a very versatile and easy to purchase piece of athletic equipment.
I already have several instructional videos recorded as well as short workouts to show how the different exercises when combined create a viable workout for all levels of fitness, from seniors to beginners to overweight to intermediate to athletes.
My idea for this business is to post the videos on YouTube and then drive traffic to my website where the interested person can then learn more about the exercise regimen while at the same time giving the person a chance to buy equipment associate with the program.
My questions are such that I want to do the aquatic exercises as the main focus, but I want to earn commissions from the products being sold through my website but I don’t want to do drop shipping because this will change the focus of my business plan.
That leaves me with the affiliate program, I think… but to be affiliated I have to have a product to sell, whereas I want to link the vendors sites to my website and let them do the job of selling their products while i receive a commission for directing traffic to their website from mine.
So the question is chicken or egg?
What is the best way to go about setting up this type of an online website through Shopify?
I don’t want to post the videos on YouTube until I have my website up and running and I don’t want to set up the website as a landing page without the person being able to purchase products through my website because I mention in the videos that my website has all the equipment needed for the person to start my aquatic workout program.
