I sell one of a kind jewelry, and it’s so hard for me to believe that Shopify does not have the functionality that allows users to unlink variations/options. I want to list a one of a kind ring (that is adjustable), and have the purchaser be able to choose the size they’d like using a drop-down list, but I have to add inventory to EVERY SIZE to make this work. And then, if someone buys the ring in a size 7, it’s still available in every other size until I physically remove the item. This is such a basic function that should be available (I mean, come on - even Etsy has this functionality). And if I want to show a few similar rings under one listing, then I have to, again, enter a “1” for EVERY available size. So with four rings in size choices from 5-10 (including half sizes), my inventory shows as 44 instead of 4.
I do have Infinite Options installed, which does make that functionality work, but then the list of size choices doesn’t show up on my items that are pushed to Facebook and Instagram. Sooooooo frustrating!
