Hi everyone,
We’ve noticed some unusual behavior on our Shopify store and are hoping to get some insight from the community or Shopify staff.
Our app has detected repeated instances where extremely large quantities of products — for example, 686,372 units of a single line item — are being added to the cart. However, these do not convert into actual orders and seem unrelated to any legitimate customer activity.
We’re trying to determine whether this is caused by:

A bot or external traffic interacting with the storefront

Automated testing tools or third-party services

Internal Shopify processes or indexing behavior

A glitch or conflict with another app installed on the store
We’ve re-checked our app’s logic, and everything appears to be functioning correctly on our end. We’re attaching screenshots for reference.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues?
Any suggestions on how to trace or block this kind of behavior would be greatly appreciated.
