There is already a question out there that is similar to this, but it hasn’t been answered and my requirements are slightly different.
The store I’m working on needs to add additional charges based on options that have been added to the product page. I understand that the easiest way to do this is to use an app like Custom Options and we are using this app on the store. However, for some products from a specific vendor, the vendor offers their own personalization tool which then populates an input field on the product page. This gets converted into a line item property. Now based on what options are selected, I might need to add to the cost of the product.
I was wondering if there was a way to add a hidden item to the cart by reading the property of the line item?
