I have read all of the previous posts on the update to the search bar. I have been on hold for chat for 38 minutes so far. It keeps timing out & adding more time.
I can find the search bar since the update using the magnifier. However, it does not function. I search orders by name & I can not. Yes, I did change the parameter to name by clicking the arrows. It does not function.
Can anyone solve this? When customers call I can not find them. I have to sit there & manually/visually look through 3000 orders for their name. It’s impossible. I’ve been taking their names & telling them my website host is down.
I’m on hold calling in to find out where my unfulfilled orders went. It’s showing ALL my pos orders but not the unfulfilled shipping order that I need to pack up and send out. The new search changes are not functioning well at all. Lots of threads about how unusable the new missing search bar feature is - better to test this a bit more before throwing it up live.
In regards to the orders page within the Shopify admin, we’ve received multiple reports of issues with it. Some merchants who try to search for an order won’t currently see any results on their end. Additionally, when a customer’s order is clicked via the customer profile, this will display all orders on the store rather than the customer’s own orders.
I understand the disruption this may have caused to your workflow and daily operations, and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Rest assured that our developers are aware of this issue and are currently working as fast as possible on pushing out a fix.
We’ve updated the Shopify Status page to reflect this issue, so you can keep an eye out on it for any further updates. Thanks and we really appreciate your continued patience!
I’ve just tested this on my own test store and was able to use both the filter and export options successfully. Is there an error message you’re seeing on your end, or does it simply not allow you to complete both actions?
To troubleshoot this locally, I recommend following the steps below to begin with so that we can rule out any browser caching issue:
Or, you can use your usual browser but to clear the browser’s cookies and cache
You can also try another browser. For example, if you’re using Safari, you can try accessing your admin via Chrome or Firefox
You can also try to use another device, such as a different laptop if you have access to one
How many orders are you attempting to export? The more orders you export, the longer it will take for the system to complete your request. So if you’re exporting a large number of orders, you can check back in a few hours’ time to see if the export is successful. You can find more information about this on our help guide here.
Search errors are still occurring. I searched for a client using first and last name, it said no results. I search using first name and scroll through them all, no result. I search using last name, she shows up. Additionally, hiding the search bar behind a click on the product and order pages is really frustrating.
Kimi - first, thanks for responding, I think these forums are usually a black hole where Shopify employees send disgruntled users.
Your developers can’t possibly understand the issue. They make insane changes that cost us time and money with every update. It’s really simple - SEARCH is important, it’s how we navigate products, orders, customers, pretty much everything. You’re adding hundreds of clicks a day to your active users. Please please please reverse this nonsensical change.
