Updates are not supported for uploaded themes

Hi,

I’m not able to update my Dawn them to version 12. The option is not there and I get the message:

Updates are not supported for uploaded themesIf you want to take advantage of theme updates, you need to install a theme from theTheme store.

The thing is that it’s not an uploaded theme. It’s Dawn v11. I have made customisations to the code, but usually you get a message saying that the customisations won’t be there in the updated version and you have to re-do them.

Doesn’t anybody know of how I can get this to update, I’d really like to get the improvements and bug fixes of v12.

If so, I’d encourage you to connect with us directly. This will allow our support team to take a closer look, as we wouldn’t have access to any account details through the Community. They will be able to investigate that error further and share steps on how to proceed.

I have downloaded the Craft theme from Shopify, uploaded to my new GitHub repo and connected back to Shopify?
I won’t be able to benefit from the automated Shopify updates if the theme is connected from GitHub with no changes?
