Updating Mega Menu Style and Function Trade Theme

Topic summary

A user seeks to customize their Shopify store’s mega menu (using the Trade theme) to match the style and functionality of Balsam Hill’s header.

Desired changes:

  • Menu items evenly spaced across the header
  • Mega menus that open on hover, remain open when hovering over submenu items, and size to content width (not full screen)
  • Menus positioned relative to their parent item (right-aligned for rightmost items, centered for center items)

Current status:
Submenus are already created and live; the request focuses on formatting and behavior adjustments.

Next steps:
A developer offered assistance and requested store access via a Shopify collaborator code. Instructions were provided on how to generate and share the 4-digit code from Settings > Users and Permissions.

  1. Spaced evenly across the header.

  2. Open mega menu on hover and stay open while on the lower options, ONLY to the width of the contents inside and not taking the full width of the screen

  3. I also want it to open under its respective option. For example - Sale if on the far right, so it should open portioned right side of the screen. Artificial Christmas Trees is in the center so it should open centered under neath that.

@Sayed_Safin My thought is that you did not visit my website to see I have all the Submenus created and live. This is more for formatting :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello @jordanbford1

Go to Settings

From your Shopify admin, scroll down and click Settings (bottom-left corner).

Click on ‘Users and Permissions’

In the settings menu, click on “Users and permissions.”

Find Your Collaborator Request Code

Scroll to the bottom of the page. You’ll find a section labeled: Collaborator Request Code

Copy that 4-digit collaborator code.
