In Dawn theme, I do not want in my collection page to show “second image on hover” On hover I want it to show an image I designate no matter where the image is placed at. In other words, I would like to upload an image file to show “on hover”. How could this be possible? Can I do this with metafields?

Note: I want particular images to show on hover for each color variant of a product because in my store my products are listed separately for each variant.

Yes you can do it with the variant metafields.

Could you tell me more about it because I have no idea? I uploaded the images I wanted to show under variant metafields but I couldn’t manage to get it to show on hover.

Yes sure.
You have to just find and replace the existing hover liquid code with the meatfield image code.
