Upload theme zip file using API after exemption

Hi Guys,

I am trying to build a public embedded app. My app functionality is mainly achieved by uploading theme file on merchants store.

By shopify policies you cannot download the theme file on merchants store.

But at the same time, you can request an exemption for this protected write_theme access scope.

I just wanted to know, if I apply for exemption and get it, can I upload theme file (zip) using API programmatically?

If I can, what does Shopify say about it. Is it still against the policy, or is it that now I got exemption and I am allowed to do so.

According to the manual, you should be able to do what you want once exemption is granted.
