URGENT! Catalogue/Product Featured Image displaying blank

Hi all,

Urgent request here :disappointed_face:

Our featured images (both for catalogues and products) are not displaying properly: they show as nearly blank. You can actually see a sort of highly transparent image, see link: https://www.koalacollective.com.au/ and scroll down to “Bestsellers”

This also happens with each product category and product. See for example: https://www.koalacollective.com.au/collections/kitchen/KITCHEN

Our shop theme is “MINIMAL”.

The site has been working fine all along, till we did some image related code tweaks today ONLY in preview mode without saving. The code is therefore the original one, yet the featured images are not displaying. We even tried to revert to the original code which dates back to when we first launched our shop back in mid November, yet the images are still NOT displaying properly.

Anyone know how to fix this?

We would be grateful if anyone could help solve this issue ASAP.

Welcome to Shopify Community!

Please search for webkit-keyframes placeholder in your theme.scss.liquid file and increase the opacity. Opacity is set between 0.02 and 0.05 currently and should be increased to something higher, like 0.99 for example.

You’ll need to repeat this exercise for other sections where you see this issue (search for opacity:0.02 and you will see other places which may need to be corrected.

Hi Neerav,

Thanks for your quick reply…just tried to set all opacities to 0.99, however the Preview stays the same with feature images still showing nearly all white.

Really don’t know why it keeps showing up like this :disappointed_face: …

Any other potential solutions?
