URGENT: Domain Stuck on Terminated Store – No Resolution from Support

I need urgent help from the Shopify team or senior moderators.

My domain is currently linked to this terminated store:

I NEVER connected or assigned my domain to this store. The store is terminated, yet my domain is still attached to it. Because of this, I am unable to use my domain properly for my active business.

I have already contacted support multiple times, but I am only receiving automated or delayed responses with no actual resolution.

Ticket Reference:
Trust Platform Ticket: 962ce34b-8bde-47f1-865b-443d70f044ae

This issue is affecting my business operations. I am requesting:

  1. Immediate removal/unlinking of my domain from the terminated store

  2. Written confirmation that the domain is completely free

  3. Confirmation that there will be no further billing or restrictions

I expect urgent intervention from a senior Shopify representative. If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will be forced to escalate this matter formally under consumer protection laws.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? How was it resolved?

I understand how stressful this is, especially when it’s affecting your business.

Since the domain is still attached to a terminated store, only Shopify Support (specifically the Trust & Safety / Account Integrity team) can manually release it. This isn’t something moderators or community members can fix

A few things that usually help speed it up

  • Contact support through your active store admin (not as a guest).

  • Request escalation to the Account Integrity or Domains team specifically.

  • Provide proof of domain ownership (domain registrar invoice or DNS control screenshot).

  • Ask them to manually remove the domain association from the terminated store ID.

Unfortunately this requires backend action from Shopify there’s no public workaround

If others have experienced it resolution typically came after escalation with ownership verification

Hope this gets resolved quickly for you
