Urgent issue people cant connect

Hi Shopify Community,

I’m the owner of MarketMindsFX.com – a legitimate Forex education and trading service.

We’ve recently run into a serious issue where many Latvian users are unable to access our site.
Not everyone, but many people have issues with connecting to our page. This really scare away a lot of potential clients.

Mobile providers like Tet, LMT, and Bite are showing security warnings such as:

  • “This site is dangerous”

  • “Identified threat: phishing”

  • “Connection is not private”

We’ve thoroughly investigated and found the following:

  • VirusTotal shows 1 out of 94 vendors (Kaspersky) flagged our domain — all others mark it as clean (BitDefender, Acronis, Avast, etc.)

  • NameCheap support confirmed there are no SSL issues or misconfigurations on their end. Everything is properly secured with valid certificates.

  • The site has never been used for phishing, malware, or deceptive content.

  • Since our store and checkout use Shopify-hosted elements, we are wondering if any Shopify scripts or domains might be contributing to this false identification.

I’ve attached screenshots from VirusTotal, iPhone browser warnings, and the Latvian ISP blocks (Tet, LMT, Bite).

We are also reaching out to these providers directly to get the domain removed from their blocklists. In the meantime, I’d really appreciate any insight from the Shopify team or community.. Has anyone experienced similar issues with Shopify-hosted content being flagged like this?

Hi @marketmindsfx

That kind of region-specific block can be tough, especially when it’s tied to false positives from one security vendor. Even if your site’s clean, just one flag (like Kaspersky’s) can trigger warnings across ISPs that rely on aggregated threat feeds. I’ve dealt with similar cases—usually it takes a combination of cleaning up any trace flags (like from old plugins or embedded third-party scripts), submitting false-positive reports, and adjusting DNS or domain settings to help rebuild trust signals. These issues don’t always come from Shopify directly, but how everything connects can matter. It’s fixable, but it needs a strategic approach.
