Dear Shopify Team,
I am contacting you directly because your official reporting tools and customer contact channels are overly complicated and difficult to use, making it heavily restricted for scammed consumers to report ongoing fraud.
Your platform is actively being used by scammers to build fraudulent stores. The store operating at https://shopify.com/104350351702/account/orders/7922267619670 is a clear example. They use AI-altered images to trap and deceive people. Once they take the money, they ghost customers, do not reply to emails, and even their on-site contact form is completely broken.
Because Shopify allows such stores to operate and defraud people on a mass scale, this entire case—along with Shopify’s lack of immediate intervention—has been officially reported to consumer protection and law enforcement agencies in both the USA (FTC, econsumer.gov) and the European Union.
I am currently in the process of a bank chargeback. I demand that you take down this store immediately to protect other consumers from being robbed. Please confirm that action has been taken.

Sorry you’re dealing with this. Note this community forum is merchant-to-merchant, so posting here won’t reach Shopify’s trust/enforcement team directly. Fastest paths to get action: 1) Report the store to Shopify at help.shopify.com/en/questions (or the “Report a store/abuse” form under Shopify’s Acceptable Use Policy) — include the store URL and order number. 2) Since you paid by card, keep pushing the chargeback with your bank; attach your order confirmation, the broken contact-form screenshot, and any unanswered emails as evidence — that’s usually the most reliable way to recover funds. 3) If you paid via Shop Pay/Shopify Payments, dispute through the payment processor too. Your FTC/econsumer.gov reports are a good move for the record. Avoid posting the full account order link publicly, as it may expose personal order details.
Hey @Akeboshi88 ,
I’m sorry you’re dealing with this.
Since you’ve already reported the issue to Shopify and started a chargeback with your bank, I would recommend continuing both processes and keeping all your evidence together including the order confirmation, payment record, screenshots, and your attempts to contact the merchant.
The information you’ve provided should give Shopify something concrete to review. However, the decision to investigate or take action against the store would be up to Shopify, so I wouldn’t want to promise a specific outcome or timeframe.
I hope your bank is able to help you recover the payment and that Shopify reviews the report appropriately.
If you find my response helpful, please feel free to mark it as the solution.
Thank You !
