Hello,

I am having trouble trying to figure out how to change this and was curious if anyone could help me out? I don’t know where to go to change it but anytime I paste my URL anywhere and it makes a shortcut it post a very old store name I don’t want on there how do I take it off? Example is I want CarawayCorner electronics gone!

Hi @Jon0236

This issue happens because your store’s meta title or social sharing settings still contain the old name. Here’s how to fix it:

  1. Update your store name in Shopify

    • Go to Settings > Store details in your Shopify admin.
    • Change the Store name and Save.
  2. Update social sharing information (SEO & Open Graph Data)

    • Go to Online Store > Preferences.
    • Find the Title and meta description section and update it to match your new branding.
  3. Check your theme settings

    • Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
    • Look for a section related to social sharing or favicon and update any old references.

  2. Update Your Meta Title & Description

    • Go to Online Store > Preferences.

    • In the “Title and Meta Description” section, update your Homepage Title.

    • Click Save.

  3. Clear Cached Metadata on Social Platforms

    • For Facebook:

      • Visit the Facebook Sharing Debugger

      • Enter your store URL and click Debug.

      • Click Scrape Again to refresh the metadata.

    • For Twitter:

      • Use the Twitter Card Validator and enter your URL.
  4. Clear Browser & Device Cache

    • Clear your browser’s cache or try in Incognito Mode.

    • If the issue persists, wait a few hours as some metadata takes time to update.

After following these steps, when you share your store link again, it should display the updated store name. Let me know if you need more help!
