URL Redirect Issues between two domains

Topic summary

A user owns two separate Shopify stores and needs to redirect all traffic from Store #1 (wholesale-only platform) to Store #2 (e-commerce site with new wholesale capabilities via Sparklayers).

Key Issues:

  • Store #1 has SEO value and existing URL listings that need proper redirection
  • Shopify support keeps suggesting transferring the Store #1 domain to Store #2, which doesn’t make sense since Store #2 is already active and functioning
  • No changes should be made to Store #2 itself

Goal:
Simply redirect all traffic and search engine results from Store #1 to Store #2, particularly for wholesale product listings, without transferring domains or disrupting the active e-commerce store.

The user is frustrated with current support responses and seeking alternative solutions for this straightforward redirect scenario.

I need help with a URL redirect, I am being failed by shopify support thus far.

I have own two seperate shopify domains/stores.

Store #1 (wholesale only) is an older website that functioned as wholesale ordering platform, Store #2 (ecommerce) is our normal e-commerce website which now has wholesale customer capabilities thanks to sparklayers.

We want to fully redirect all the traffic from store #1 to store #2 since now all wholesale customers will use that website with our ecommerce customers. There is SEO value in the URL listings especially for some of the wholesale products so we want to make sure it is redirecting correctly.

Store #2 is a fully functioning ecommerce store, no changes can or should be made to store #2 in any way. When trying to work on this with Shopify support they keep trying to get me to transfer store#2 domain that is in use store#1, which makes zero sense because Store #2 is active and what I want shown so why would I transfer it.

Please help, I just want to redirect any traffic or google search results.

Thanks!
